How it works
Private by architecture, not by promise.
Three properties hold for every feature we ship. If a feature can't hold them, it doesn't ship.
Archived locally
What you keep is stored on your device first. Nothing is uploaded just to archive it.
Sync is opt-in
Turn on sync and it is end-to-end encrypted with keys we never see.
Nothing to configure
The safe setting is the default. There is no privacy tab to go find.
